AVID at HSMA

Harry Stone Montessori Academy is proud to announce our participation in the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program for both elementary and middle school students!

AVID is designed to support all learners by building academic skills, deepening content knowledge, and developing strong learning habits. At Harry Stone, AVID-trained teachers use WICOR strategies—Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading—to provide engaging, rigorous instruction across all grade levels.

This year, we are placing a special focus on Organization and effective note-taking, helping students develop habits that build confidence, independence, and readiness for future academic success.

At Harry Stone, we are preparing students to be College and Career Ready—equipped with the skills to thrive in school and beyond!
